Meaning

The rose is a flower that transcends mere beauty to embody the blessings of love, romance, courage, and transformation.

Fairy Magic

The Rose fairy shows us how you can be both delicate and fierce. She is an exquisite creature that wears her heart on her sleeve, spreading love, peace, and beauty everywhere she goes. Seeing her gentle demeanor many assume she's weak but this couldn't be further from the truth. Approach her with anything but love and sincerity in your heart, she will protect herself with the ferocity that could shame a lion. Her blades are so thin they look like thorns and she can draw on the earth's electric current to zap her opponents into submission. If she somehow wounds herself, all she needs to do is show her wounds to the Sun and say a silent prayer to heal herself immediately. Just like love, the Rose fairy is both feared and desired.

Myths

Aphrodite is the goddess of roses. It is said that the rose first appeared from the sea foam that dripped off Aphrodite as she emerged from the sea, transforming into dainty white rose bushes, signifying its origin in pure beauty. One day, Aphrodite's great love, Adonis, was attacked and wounded by a wild boar. As Aphrodite rushed to his side, she pricked her foot on the thorns of a white rose bush. Her divine blood stained the roses red, transforming them into symbols of undying love.
